HELPING KIDS and HELPING HOCKEY

Sports can help kids stay fit, build confidence, self-esteem and character and make lifelong friends. But not all sports are accessible to all children. Studies show that children from low-income families and neighborhoods are half as likely to play sports as children from upper-income families. This is especially true for ice hockey.  

The Giving Dogs love ice hockey and want to help make it accessible to more children and young adults. The Giving Dogs helps give those in need the lifelong benefits of playing hockey. And at the same time, The Giving Dogs is helping hockey by bringing more diversity to the sport.

The Giving Dogs provide scholarships as well as hockey equipment, ice time and instruction to those in need. The Giving Dogs receive requests for assistance and also work closely with coaches to identify and help those in need.
